What About Me?
One of the best things about reading stories of people who encounter Jesus is that the stories invite us into them. We can often benefit greatly from imagining ourselves in the story as various characters.
This week we’re exploring the story of the man born blind in John 9. Take a few minutes over the next few days to read the story two or three times. Note the cast of characters: the man, Jesus and his disciples, the man’s parents and the Pharisees.
With whom do you most easily identify? Why is that?
With whom do you least identify? Why?
What’s at stake for each of the characters? That is, what does each have to lose? And how does that help you identify with each person?
See you Sunday… until then, leave your thoughts and reflections in the comments!

I still unfortunately find it easy to identify with the parents who know, but don’t follow through with the do when they are asked who the man was. That fear of rejection, still inhibits me from working towards being a Christian 100% of the time. The Pharisees, however, are hard to identify with since they repeatedly question everyone trying to get the answer they want to hear.
